Australian mining and exploration company, Aeris Resources’ copper production declined in Q3 2020, compared with the preceding quarter. 

 

In the quarter ended Sep 30, the miner produced 6,044mt of copper from its Tritton copper project in New South Wales, down 10.3pc from 6,672mt in Q2 2020. The mine processed 411,431mt of ore in the quarter, with Cu grade falling to 1.56pc from 1.7pc in the prior quarter. All-in sustaining cost of production increased by 10¢/lb to A$3.33/lb ($2.37). 

 

The company has retained its 2020 guidance at 23,500-24500mt of copper from Tritton. Aeris will begin drilling of an adjacent deposit called Budgeryar in Q4 2020, which has an inferred mineral resource of 2.3mn mt, grading 1.5pc Cu.
