Alliance Steel is relocating its headquarters from Bedford Park, IL to Gary, IN—a move that’s expected to create more than 100 jobs.
A company spokesperson said the new processing facility is strategically located near Northwest Indianana mills and several major ports, which will abet flexible sourcing and delivery.
Alliance Steel’s new headquarters comprise 290,000 sq ft of warehouse and processing space, including two slitters, fiber laser cutting capabilities, shearing, metallurgical testing, cold reduction, and toll processing. Supply chain solutions include full rail service, drive-through bays, and two large, temperature-controlled coil storage bays.
Alliance Steel, a major player in flat-rolled steel supply and coil processing for over two decades, maintains a selection of hot rolled, hot rolled pickled and oiled, hot rolled pickled dry, cold rolled steel, various coated flat products and 300 and 400 series stainless steel products. It operates a facility in the Midwest and one in Memphis, Tennessee.
