Vancouver-based Altaley Mining reported strong increase in zinc and lead production in Q2 (April-June). Zinc production rose by 177pc and lead by 187pc in Q2 from a year ago.
Altaley Mining produced 11,812mt of zinc concentrates in Q2 while in the prior-year quarter they produced 3,899mt. In Q2 2021, lead concentrate rose to 2,648mt against 923mt produced last year.
The company reported gross revenues at $24.5mn in Q2 from sales of 11,854mt of zinc concentrate. The company sold 2,668mt of lead concentrate in Q2.
The June quarter posted healthy growth with steady production rates and implementation of operational efficiencies coupled with higher metal prices, stated CEO Ralph Shearing in the company release.
Operations at Campo Morado, which is estimated to be Mexico’s sixth-largest zinc producer, returned positive mine results with higher revenues and improved cost per tonne.
