AMNS India (ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel India) plans to expand its offline retail network in India by adding 32 Hypermart outlets by 2021 to cater to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) segment, according to media reports. There are 18 Hypermarts in India.
Hypermart is an integrated platform for retail, trade and last-mile sales of steel grades for MSMEs. With this expansion, the company expects a 30pc rise in revenue as the offline retail network accounts for 20pc of its total revenues. This retail chain gives direct access to AMNS India products as it’s challenging to source directly from the steel mills.
AMNS India Hypermart has a presence in key MSME hubs such as Hazira, Taloja, Mangaluru, Ghaziabad, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, and Bengaluru. Hypermart will be expanded to other MSME hubs such as Ahmedabad, Ludhiana and Jodhpur, a company statement said.
