UK-based Anglesey Mining has teamed up with QME Mining Technical Services to launch engineering and optimization studies for Parys Mountain, a copper, zinc and lead mine in Wales that it expects will yield 10mn mt.
With none of those metals produced in the UK, Anglesey Mining believes it can create jobs in the region, it said in a news release outlining its medium-term outlook. In doing so, it endeavors to reduce the UK’s dependence on imports.
As of March 31, the company reported no revenue from its other mines, including Grangesberg Iron AB and the Labrador Iron Mine.
