Anglo Asian Mining produced 559mt of copper in Q1 up by 9pc from the prior year. The company shipped 2,018mt in Q1 while in the previous year, 279mt was sold.

The company’s production figures were in-line with the guidance provided earlier despite COVID-19 emergency, according to the company’s latest press release. The Company did not face any disruptions or production loss as it continued its operations despite the government of Azerbaijan implementing a series of restrictions to combat the spread of COVID-19. The operations of Gedabek and Gosha were not included in the government’s restrictions and continued to operate normally. Mining and production, as well as essential maintenance was being carried normally.
