Vedanta Zinc International’s (VZI) Black Mountain Mining (BMM) will be headed by Anil Agarwal take over as the Chairman of the subsidiary. Agarwal is the founder and Chairman of Vedanta Resources.
He will be joined by Pushpender Singla, CFO of Vedanta Zinc International, who would be a board director. Vassi Naidoo will also be joining the BMM management board as the Deputy Chairman.
Vedanta plans to expand operations in South Africa, said Agarwal while Naidoo cautioned that South Africa’s business environment may affect their business negatively which could affect the profitability of expanding Gamsberg.
Vedanta Zinc International is a group of zinc assets in South Africa, Ireland and Namibia.
