Lead producer Aqua Metals is preparing to commercialize its new proprietary AquaRefining lead recycling technology during the second quarter and working with several clients to its license and supply the equipment that is aimed at producing eco-friendly refined lead.
In the first quarter of the year, the company said that it did not generate any revenue as it finalized its technology offering, though its cost of sales grew by 11pc to $1.6mn from $1.5mn in the same quarter last year. The firm attributed the increase to the clean-up cost it undertook in order to sell its old facility.
In Q1 2021, the company’s net loss dropped to $4mn compared to $4.4mn net loss incurred in Q1 2020, it said in a statement on Thursday.
