Ardent Steels, a subsidiary of Godawari Power and Ispat has resumed operations at its iron ore pellet plant located in Keonjhar in Odisha. The company has sought all approvals from local authorities and taken the requisite measures to recommence operations.

 

Ardent had suspended its operations after the state and central governments have announced a nationwide lockdown on March 24 to control the spread of COVID-19. Earlier in February, the company had secured environment clearance to enhance the production capacity of its iron pelletisation plant from 600,000mt to 690,000mn mt.

The parent company Godawari has also resumed its mining operations at Ari Dongri iron ore mine at Kanker, Raipur.
