Asia aluminium import prices for Extrusion 95/5 and A35 wheels dropped, while Tense, Zorba 95/2, Taint/Tabor, Talk and Tally advanced on the rise in the three-month aluminium contract on LME from the prior week. The trades for ADC 12 to Japan remained slow and only a few manufacturers heard bids from China.
The official three-month aluminium contract rose to $2,280/mt on April 8 from $2,236.5/mt on April 1, up by $43.5/mt.
The weekly Davis Index for Zorba 95/2 settled at $1,757/mt cfr India port, up by $57/mt and the Index for Zorba 99/3 settled at $1,700/mt from $1,680/mt cif China port, up by $20/mt.
The weekly Davis Index for 6063 extrusion settled at $1,832/mt cfr India port, down by $32/mt. The weekly Davis Index A356 wheels rose to $2,003/mt, down by $6/mt cfr India port.
The weekly Indexes for Taint/Tabor gained by $47/mt to settle at $1,707/mt cfr India port and for Tense, settled at $1,653/mt, down by $30/mt.
The weekly Davis Index for Talk or Aluminium-Copper radiators settled at $4,383/mt, up by $183/mt cfr India port.
The weekly Davis Index for ADC 12 cfr China settled at $2,155/mt, down by $5/mt cfr China port. ADC 12 exporters reported few bids at $2,160/mt level as well.
The weekly Davis Index for ADC 12 cfr Japan settled unchanged at $2,250/mt with Japanese bids going silent since the past few days due to microchip shortage. Only a few exporters heard Japanese bids at $2,250/mt level.
