The auto sector’s revival is likely to remain slow in August 2020. Though monthly sales in July had grown significantly compared to the previous three months, sales in August will determine if the demand was pent-up, states Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (Siam)
Director-General fo Siam, Rajesh Menon in a statement states sales in July had instilled some confidence in the industry. Many OEMs have registered improved sales compared to the lockdown months but the road to recovery is long and arduous. He further added that the de-growth in passenger vehicles and two-wheeler segments was lesser compared to previous months.
