AZZ acquired the assets of Wisconsin-based Acme Galvanizing. Acme is a metal coating entity that produces zinc electroplating and hot-dip galvanizing products which now further expands AZZ’s ability to support Midwest customers. Acme Galvanizing was founded in 1919 and remained privately owned. Parties did not disclose terms of the transactions or annual production capacity. 

 

Acme will remain in the 80,000sq ft facility with no changes to present staff but will operate under the name of AZZ Galvanizing and Plating – Milwaukee. The site has four advanced fully automated zinc plating lines and enclosed galvanizing kettle.

 

AZZ is a global provider of metal coatings solutions, welding solutions, and specialty electrical equipment based in Texas. With the Acme acquisition, AZZ now operates 40 hot-dip galvanizing plants in North America. AZZ Inc operates AZZ Metal Coatings and AZZ Infrastructure Solutions.
