China’s Fujian Development and Reform Commission has given a go-ahead to Baosteel Desheng Stainless Steel’s 1,600mm pickling line after an energy conservation review. The commission stated that the project can commence production only from Dec 2021. The company is located at Jingang Industrial Zone in Fujian province.
Baosteel Deshing’s proposed facility consists of a new Hot Annealing and Pickling Line (HAPL) and 30 bell-type furnaces. The annual production scale of the HAPL is 800,000mt and the total annealing capacity of the furnaces is 300,000mt. The raw material for the project will be provided through the company’s newly built hot-rolling mill.
