British luxury automaker Bentley Motors sold 11,206 units in 2020, with the company’s sales in China growing by 48pc over the prior year.
The carmaker’s sales in the Americas region stood at 3,035 units up 4pc from the prior year, which made up 27pc of total sales in 2020. In China, Bentley sold 2,880 units, up from 1,940 cars sold in the country in 2019. Sales in the rest of Asia rose by 6pc to 1,203 units.
Sales in Europe and the UK fell by 18pc and 22pc to 2,193 units and 1,160 units, respectively. Meanwhile, sales in the Middle East also declined by 14pc to 735 in the year gone by.
The company noted that despite higher predictions before the COVID-19 pandemic, its Continental GT coupe and Bentayga SUV sales remained robust through 2020. Bentley is currently working on the Bentayga Hybrid, its first electric platform to become a fully-electric manufacturer by 2030.
