Big River Steel reported a day-long power outage at its Flex Mill in Osceola, Arkansas, which led to a galvanizing line failing.
The plant’s galvanizing mill, which has an annual steel production capacity of 498,950mt, suffered an electronic failure on August 30, a company spokesperson told Davis Index.
Arkansas-based Big River confirmed that it would take about 10-14 days to repair the damage caused to the production line, but didn’t disclose lost production volumes.
