Byelorussian Steel Works (BMZ) exported a total of 2mn mt of steel across 53 countries in 2020, growing by 125pc compared to 2019.
According to a news release, BMZ also exported close to 180,000mt of rolled structures ranging from diameter 20mm to 160mm in 2020. On Jan 1, the company exported its first batch of rolled steel products, intended to be used in the automotive sector, to Spain. The company began doing business in Spain in 2020 and expects the market for its products to grow in the country.
On the first day of the year, the company also shipped out steel rebars to a customer in Israel.
