Byelorussian Steel Works’ (BMZ) hot-rolled seamless pipe production increased by over 120pc to 21,000mt in January-February 2021 against the same period a year ago. The company’s exports increased by 113pc in the two-month period compared to a year ago, accounting for more than 90pc of its production volume. 

 

BMZ’s exports of hot-rolled seamless pipes to the EU increased by 210pc to over 9,000mt in the first two months of this year, compared to the same period in 2019. Italy purchased about half of the pipe volumes while nine other EU countries received the remainder.

 

The BMZ pipe-rolling mill plant has been operating since June 2007. It specializes in pipes with 21.3-168.3mm diameter and a wall thickness of 2.3-24mm. The total rolling mill capacity of the company including wire rod, bars, and pipes is about 2.7mn mt per year.
