Polish airline Enter Air has placed an order for two Boeing 737-8 aircrafts, with an option for two more in the future.
This is American aircraft maker Boeing’s first purchase order for its 737 commercial liner since it was grounded in January, which occurred because of a software malfunction that caused one of the jets in the fleet to crash.
Boeing stated that the COVID-19 pandemic caused it to lose 60 orders last quarter. The company’s deliveries in Q2 dropped to 20 units from 90 during the second quarter of 2019.
Enter Air’s order could signal the first step of Boeing’s market recovery after it posted a loss of $3bn in the first half of the year.
