Boeing’s commercial aircraft deliveries increased by 123pc in H1 2021 to 156 units from 70 in the same period last year, the company reported in its semi-annual deliveries report.

In the first six months of this year, Boeing delivered 113 units of 737s, two 747s, 13 units of 767s, 14 units of 777s, and 14 more 787s, which are still under review due to a structural failure discovered earlier this month.

In Q2 2021, the US manufacturer indicated that its deliveries grew by 295pc to 79 units from 20 units in the same quarter last year. Boeing delivered 50 units of the 737 model, one for the 747, eight each of 767 and 777, and 12 units of 787s during the quarter.

Boeing noted that it has reprioritized production resources over the next few weeks to support inspection and rework of the 787 MAX, which has been under review since crashes involving that model last year.
