Byelorussian Steel Works (BSW) reported sales of 564,000mt of reinforcing steel in the first eight months of the year, of which exports made up 90pc.
The company shipped $11mn worth reinforcing steel to countries like Senegal, Cote d’lvore, Benin, and Ghana in the January-August period, up 20pc from the same period in 2019. Other countries like Russia, Israel, Lithuania imported reinforcing steel worth $200mn from BSW in the first eight months of 2020.
The Belarus based producer exported a total of 1.4mn mt of steel products to over 51 countries from January to August as per the company’s export reports.
