The Canada Border Service Agency has preliminarily determined that exporters of concrete reinforcing bar (rebar) from seven countries made sales to Canada at less than fair value.
In a release dated Feb 4, CBSA noted that rebar under the classifications 7213.10.00.00, 7214.20.00.00, 7215.90.00.90, and 7227.90.00.90 are subject to dumping from Algeria, Egypt, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam.
CBSA will now levy provisional antidumping (AD) duties on these countries on the subject material that is released on or after Feb 4. A table clarifying the duties imposed is listed below.
