Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

Canada’s industrial product price index (IPPI) for October grew by 1pc from the same month last year, according to Statistics Canada reports (StatCan). 

 

Its price index for primary ferrous metal was up by 1.7pc in October from September while it was flat compared to October 2019. However, its non-ferrous price index declined by 1.8pc from the previous month and was up by 21.2pc from October of last year.

 

The country’s fabricated metal product index rose 0.1pc in October from September but dropped by 0.6pc from the same month last year. Machinery and equipment saw a 0.7pc growth in October from the prior month and a 1.8pc uptick from last October, StatCan reported.
