Canadian miner Candente Copper is set to acquire a 100pc take in the Canyon Creek copper and molybdenum project in Northwest British Columbia.
The mine was in private ownership and Candente hasn’t disclosed the total investment amount. Canyon Creek is yet under the exploration phase and its ore resources are estimated at 11.47bn mt, noted Candente on Wednesday.
Candente Copper plans to explore the area further and set production schedules. The company also has copper projects in the Peruvian Andes in South America that are also in the exploration stage. Indicated resources of these projects are estimated at 752.4mn mt and inferred resources stand at 157.7mn mt.
