Turkish aluminum manufacturer Cansan Aluminium has ordered a new Danieli Breda front-loading extrusion press for its facility in Bursa, Turkey.

The new machinery will be able to process 10-inch aluminum billets at 40 meganewtons of pressure, extruding products, which will serve the automotive, furniture, and solar power industries. The media statement by Danieli indicated that the new equipment will expand Cansan’s capability to press hard alloys but did not mention any volumes. The Breda features isothermal extrusions which maintain temperature through the process and fully electric billet charging.

At present, Cansan Aluminium makes around 24,000mt of aluminum extrusions and profiles. The new press is expected to be installed and running by the Spring of 2022. Danieli had also supplied a similar extrusion press to PMS Aluminium, located in the same city.
