Canadian iron ore miner Champion Iron produced 5.9mn mt of 66.3pc iron ore concentrate in the nine-month period of fiscal 2021 (April-December 2020) compared to 6mn mt during the same timeframe in 2019.
In Q3 FY2021 the company produced 1.9mn mt of 66.4pc iron ore concentrate compared to 1.8mn mt during the same quarter in 2019.
In the first nine months of FY2021, the company’s Bloom Lake Mine’s ore output rose by 3pc to 15.9mn mt from 15.4mn mt in the same period in FY2020. Output at the mine increased by 6pc to 5.1mn mt in Q3 FY2021from 4.9mn mt in Q3 FY2020.
The company’s revenue in the first three quarters rose to C$885.1mn ($691.80mn) from C$609.4mn in the same period in 2019 and increased to C$329.5mn in the third quarter from C$171.1mn in Q3 FY2020.
The iron ore miner’s EBITDA in the nine-month period tallied at C$537.4mn compared to C$287.4mn during the same period in 2019, with its third-quarter EBITDA at C$211.9mn compared to C$57.9mn in the same quarter in FY2020.
