Nine new steel plants will be operational in China’s Sichuan province in 2020, according to China Metallurgical News. The plants are currently under construction. Additionally, the province’s local government is also focusing on capacity replacement of 20 steelmaking projects.These projects entail an investment of CNY47.27bn.
