China’s car production in August rose by 6.3pc to 21.90mn units up from the prior year. Commercial vehicles production rose to 42.8pc to 425,000 units, according to China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

 

China’s auto production picked up on the back of China’s strong economic recovery and fiscal stimulus. In Jan-Aug period, car production dropped by 9.6pc to 14.43bn units and commercial vehicles output rose by 19pc to 32.56mn units on the back of high growth of semi-trailer and truck production. 

 

Auto component sector’s production in the country rose by 7.6pc in August while equipment manufacturing rose by 10.9pc in August from the prior year. Manufacturing under aerospace, shipbuilding and railways slid 0.3pc from the earlier year. China Passenger Car Association stated that the sector is growing strongly in the first weeks of September.
