As of mid-June, China’s crude steel output was 21.42mn mt with an average daily output of 2.12mn mt, according to China Iron and Steel Association. Daily output of crude steel increased by 3.74pc from the previous year and rose by 1.57pc from mid-May 2020.
China’s pig iron output in mid-June was 19.11mn mt with an average daily output of 1.91mn mt, an increase of 4.16pc from a year ago and a rise of 1.59pc from the previous month.
As of mid-June, steel output was 20.75mn mt with average daily output of 2.07mn mt. The daily output of steel increased by 7.26pc from the previous year and rose by 4.82pc from the previous month.
The steel production maintained moderate growth. As of mid-June, steel stock at steel enterprises was 14.61mn mt, increased by 5.77pc from the previous lasy year and rose by 53.36pc from beginning of the year.
