China imported 2.79mn mt of unwrought copper in the first half of 2021, down from 2.83mn mt in the same period last year, according to data from Chinese Customs. The nation bought 428,437mt of copper products from other countries in June.
The same report also detailed that imports of copper ore and concentrate increased to 1.14mn mt in H1 2021 over 1.08mn mt in the prior-year period. In June, imports of this metal stood at 167,100mt.
On the other hand, China exported 2.6mn mt of unwrought aluminum products in H1 2021, compared with 2.36mn mt during the same timeframe last year. This June, aluminum exports stood at 454,397mt.
