Work at 13 major steel production upgradation projects in China has resumed after a brief suspension, according to the Chinese Society of Metals (CSM). The projects had come to a standstill earlier since February, as China tried to contain the COVID-19 outbreak.
Guangxi Iron and Steel Fangchenggang Steel Base Project
The project targets to upgrade and transform China’s steel industry layout. Assistance from subsidiaries of the China Metallurgical Group like MCC Sadie and MCC South will aide in full resumption of operations by March end.
Fujian Dadonghai Fine Steel Project
The project looks to build comprehensive metallurgical construction capabilities. Personnel have been deployed at site for resumption of operations.
TISCO High-end Cold Rolled Oriented Silicon Steel Project
The high-end cold-rolled oriented silicon steel project looks to achieve high-quality development.
Fujian Dingsheng Steel Project Group
The project involves construction of ESP and quantum electric furnace.
Hebei Taihang Iron & Steel Reorganization and Reconstruction Project
Over 100 construction workers from MCC South have arrived at the site to resume operations and more than 2,000mt of steel has been ordered.
Mei Tak Holdings and Linyi’s high performance and ultra-high voltage rail transportation equipment accessories intelligent manufacturing project
The project is by Mei De Group and Hong Kong Investment Holdings with an investment of CNY2bn.
