China’s non-ferrous metal production including zinc, lead, copper and aluminium alloy increased between 14 to 20pc in November while production of aluminium fell by 2.8pc compared to prior year, according to data published by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
China’s refined lead output for November was 572,000mt up by 18.2pc from prior year and 6pc from the previous month. Production from Jan-Nov was reported at 5.2mn mt up by 16.8pc from the prior year.
Refined zinc production for November stood at 594,000 up by 14pc from a year ago while 8pc from the last month. Output from Jan-Nov was 5.69mn mt, up by 10pc from the prior year period.
China produced 866,000mt of aluminium alloy in November, up by 20pc from the prior year and 7pc from the prior month. In Jan-Nov period, China produced 8.37mn mt, up 13.8pc from the prior year.
Refined copper production of China increased by 18.4pc to 909,000mt in November from the prior year and 5pc from the previous month. From Jan-Nov, production output was up 8.7pc to 8.88mn mt from the prior year period.
China’s primary aluminium production was down by 2.8pc in November to 2.9mn mt from the prior year but output from Jan-Nov was up by 2.2pc to 32.13mn mt.
