China imported close to $357,778 worth of nickel in November 2019, and $5.15mn through the first 11 months of the year, according to its Economic Information Agency. 


However, the country’s nickel exports were significantly lower, totaling $92,202 in November and $839,631 in the 11 months ended November 30, 2019. Exports were down 99.6pc and Imports decreased 0.4pc through the first 11 months of 2019, compared with the same period a year ago.


China’s nickel pig iron exports also declined 82.5pc between January and November 2019 compared to the same 11-month period alst year when the value decreased 3.7pc.


Iron and steel exports from China totaled $2.75mn in November of this year, and $36.6mn through the first 11 months of 2019. Imported iron and steel amounted to nearly $2.24mn in November and $20.7mn between January and November. Compared to the first 11 months of 2018, imports and exports declined 11.2pc and 1.8pc, respectively.
