Taiyuan Iron and Steel (Tisco) plans to undertake overhauling of its 2250mm hot rolling line in August. The complete overhaul of the plant will be completed in about 15 days. The maintenance work will reduce the company’s stainless steel products output.
Tisco will also overhaul a blast furnace as part of this maintenance program. The blast furnace has a molten iron output of 100,000mt, and the maintenance will reduce 400 series stainless steel (SS) production by around 20,000mt.
Tisco is the largest SS producer in China’s Shanxi province. Earlier in June, the company had placed an order for a 4,300mm plate rolling mill with SMS group.
