Chinese auto manufacturer Great Wall Motor (GWM)’s vehicle sales in February 2021 stood at 89,050 units, registering a significant growth of 788pc from the same month in 2020 but down by 40.68pc from the previous month (Jan 2021) due to the Chinese New Year holiday and fewer working days, according to local media reports.

The company’s domestic sales rose by 1029pc in February, while its vehicle exports stood at 9,786 units, up by 226pc as compared to the same month in the previous year.

In the first two months of the year (Jan-Feb, 2020), the company cumulative vehicle sales stood at 228,062 units, up by 153pc from the prior-year period, contributing 19pc to the company’s annual sales target for 2021.

In the Jan-Feb period, the company’s cumulative auto exports increased by 179pc to 20,758 units as compared to the same period in the preceding year.

The auto manufacturer officially launched the GWM brand to the Thai market in January and also launched two models – All New HAVAL H6 and ORA Good Cat. In February, it also launched GWM POER pickups in Bahrain. Currently, the GWM POER pickups are on sale in eight countries.
