Steel fabrication company, Cobb Industrial, is planning to expand its specialty metals division in Marietta Georgia.

 

The company said on Monday, it had purchased a larger facility to boost its steel output capabilities. The fabricator intends to combine two of its existing facilities at the new location to meet the stronger demand for specialty metals over the past year. 

 

The company’s miscellaneous shop will be moved by November 1, and its steel structural section will be relocated at the beginning of next year. All renovations will be completed in early 2021 and the company will add around 50 jobs in its quest to ramp up production at the new facility.

 

Cobb Industrial is a steel industry service provider with a capacity to produce more than 30,000nt (27,215mt) of steel per year. The company services commercial and industrial markets in the US for structural steel buildings, distribution centers, corporations, retailers, and other fabrication projects.

 

Cobb’s specialty metals division also makes use of stainless steel and aluminum.
