Colombian ferronickel exports decreased 25pc from January-July 2021 compared to the same period of 2020, according to data from the National Directorate of Statistics (DANE) published Aug 31. 

 

Volumes declined from 67.75mn mt to 51.1mn mt. Export prices increased by 3.5pc from $223.11mn to $230.87mn. The country’s iron ore and steel exports had fallen 33.1pc in Q1.

 

For the month of July, exports decreased 2.4pc in volume in July against the same month of 2020, falling from 9.7mn mt to 9.5mn mt. Exports prices rose 50.2pc in dollar terms, from $28.87mn to $43.36.
