Colombia’s crude steel production in February 2021 stood at 101,831mt, down by 5.8pc as compared to 1108,106mt in the same month in 2020, according to Colombia’s Committee of Steel Producers (CPA).
Compared to 107,573mt produced in the previous month (Jan 2021), the country’s crude steel output in February fell by 5.3pc.
In the first two months of the year (Jan-Feb, 2021), the country’s crude steel production stood at 209,404mt, down by 1.4pc from the prior-year period.
Long finished steel
In February, the country’s production of finished long steel declined by 0.5pc to 110,655mt from the year before and by 1pc as compared to 111,813mt produced in the preceding month.
In the Jan-Feb period, however, Colombia’s finished long steel output stood at 222,468mt, registering a growth of 3.4pc as compared to the same period in the previous year.
