Canadian miner Crown Mining has officially changed its name to US Copper Corp., with effect from April 8, 2021.

Steve Dunn, president and chief executive officer, reiterated that the name change was a strategic move to reflect its primary project’s location in the US. The company’s Moonlight-Superior Copper Project in Northeast California will focus on supplying copper to domestic US consumers. The project’s estimated copper resources are about 908,000mt in varied grades. The company has yet to disclose its drilling and production plans.

The new internet domain name will also take effect on the same date with an automatic redirect for visitors to the current domain, the company noted in a statement on Tuesday.
