Czech Republic’s industrial production grew by 0.9pc in January this year on an annual basis while it dropped by 0.4pc from the previous month, according to the Czech Statistical Office (CZSO).
Manufacturing of fabricated metal products increased 4.2pc in January this year compared to a year ago. However, the monthly decline was attributed to a 10.1pc decrease in repair and installation of machinery and equipment. Its direct export sales increased by 3.5pc while its domestic sales fell by 2.2pc, CZSO reported.
Czech Republic’s new orders in January saw a 4.6pc fall on an annual basis. Under this, its non-domestic new orders grew by 5.5pc while domestic new orders decreased by 23.9pc. The decrease was attributed to drop in manufacturing of transportation equipment by 76.6pc, decline in manufacturing of motor vehicles, trailers, semi-trailers by 2.9pc and fall in manufacturing of basic metals by 3.5pc from January last year.
