The Czech Republic’s industrial producer price index (IPPI) also rose by 5.1pc in May compared to the same month in 2020 and inched up by 0.9pc from the previous month according to Czech Statistical Office (CZSO).
Under the IPPI, the prices of basic metal fabricated products grew by 10.4pc in May on an annual basis while parts and accessories of motor vehicles saw a 5.3pc decline from May last year. On a monthly basis, the IPPI for basic metals fabricated products increased by 3.7pc in May from April this year, CZSO reported.
The country’s consumer price index (CPI) rose by 2.9pc in May compared to the same month last year and was up by 0.2pc from April this year. The annual increase was attributed to the rise in prices of motor cars which climbed by 6.9pc in May on an annual basis and by 0.4pc in compared to April this year, CZSO reported.
