Global logistics and shipping conglomerate DHL plans to add 12 electric aircraft carriers for delivery deployment by 2024, from Eviation.
The maiden flight is to take place later this year, according to DHL’s media statement on Aug 3. Eviation’s electric line-up Alice is a single-pilot carrier with a maximum speed of up to 440 nautical miles. It can transport about 2,500lbs and has a charging time per flight hour of approximately 30 minutes.
Singapore’s Clement Group owns Eviation that aims to make sustainable air travel scalable.
