Ukraine-based Dneprospetsstal Electrometallurgical Plant’s (Zaporizhia) steel production in the first two months of the year (Jan-Feb, 2021) stood at 37,000mt, up by 12.1pc from the prior-year period, according to local media reports.
In the Jan-Feb period, the company’s finished rolled product output grew by 21.7pc to 28,000mt as compared to the same period in the previous year.
In February, the company’s steel production stood at 18,000mt, while finished roll product output stood at 13,000mt,.
In 2020, the company’s steel production grew by 2.7pc to 225,000mt, while the output of finished rolled products rose by 1.3pc to 154,000mt as compared to the preceding year.
The plant is Ukraine’s only manufacturer of high-quality rolled products and forgings made of special steel grades – stainless, tool, bearing, structural, and also from nickel-based superalloys.
