Russian manufacturer Don-Metall LLC will resume the construction of its metal rolling mill in the Rostov region after the company had to suspend work in April due to the COVID-19-induced curbs and lockdown, according to media reports.
The construction work for the mill will resume in December and the commissioning of the rolling mill is scheduled for Q4 FY21.
The construction of the rolling mill is a part of the first stage of the company metallurgical plant project to produce construction fittings.
The company has invested RUB3.3bn ($43mn) for the first phase.
After commissioning of the plant, the company’s annual capacity will increase by 250,000mt.
The rolling mill building has been constructed and the main production equipment has been installed. The company is currently planning the construction of an administrative and amenity complex and work is also underway to purchase auxiliary equipment.
