Minnesota-based Ermak Foundry and Machining acquired New Hampshire’s Patriot Foundry and Castings in February 2021.
Ermak did not disclose the value of the transaction or the expected increase in production. The acquisition will expand the former’s foundry capabilities and provide better customer outreach. Talks about the acquisition had started four years ago, according to Reg Zeller, owner of the combined businesses. He reiterated that the deal fits into Ermak’s geographical and production expansion strategy.
Ermak’s business is mainly in the Midwest region but is spread across North America and Europe. Patriot’s customers are in the US and Canada, with most of the business coming from the US’ Northeastern region.
