Canadian mining and exploration firm Ero Copper has promoted its vice president for technical services, Anthea Bath, to chief operating officer (COO).
Bath, who will also be the first-ever COO of the company, has been instrumental in overseeing the miner’s recent technical and operational developments such as the installation of the HIG mill at the company’s Curaca Valley mine in Bahia, Brazil. She has previously held senior technical roles at Anglo American Platinum and Sibanye Gold.
The firm also promoted Makko DeFilippo to the role of president. He previously served as the company’s vice president for corporate development.
Ero Copper operates the Curaca Valley project through Brazilian miner MCSA, of which it owns 99.6pc. The company expects its 2020 production from the mine in the range of 41,000-43,000mt of copper concentrate.
