The European Commission has launched an antidumping (AD) investigation into imports of certain aluminum flat-rolled products from China.
According to media reports, European Aluminum, a major player in the EU’s aluminum production, said these imports have surged recently. The Commission affirmed that there was ample evidence of dumping activities by China, causing material injury to the domestic market in the 27 member states of the EU.
The period of review for the probe is July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020.
The review compliments another AD inquiry into aluminum extrusions imported into the EU from China.
