Construction production in July fell by 3.8pc in the Euro area, and by 3.9pc in the EU, from a year earlier, according to a Eurostat report.
Although production in the Euro area increased by 0.2pc in July from the month prior, it fell by 0.1pc in the EU.
Building construction in the Euro area also decreased by 4.3pc compared to July 2019, but it increased by 1.1pc from June 2020. Building construction in the EU decreased by 4.2pc in July from a year earlier, and by 0.3pc from a month earlier.
