The European Commission has imposed final antidumping (AD) duties on exporters of aluminum extrusion products from China.
In a release by the Commission on Mar 30, it was pointed out by European Aluminium Association that the EU imports 30pc of the production from the suppliers under review, used for railway products, construction and electronics. Thus, the AD rate established will benefit the entire EU supply chain.
All producers of the subject matter from China are part of this review but only Guangdong Haomei New Materials, Guangdong King Metal Light Alloy Technology, and Press Metal International were examined individually. The Commission levied duties ranging from 21.2-32.1pc for all exporters.
The investigation was initiated in February 2020 and the preliminary AD duties set in October last year ranged from 30.4-40.8pc.
