Industrial producer prices in the EU increased by 0.4pc in November 2020 compared to October, according to Eurostat data.
By sector, IPP rose by 1.4pc in energy and by 0.2pc for intermediate and durable consumer goods. Prices for non-durable consumer goods were unchanged month-on-month but capital goods declined by 0.1pc. Excluding the effect of the energy sector, total industry prices increased by 0.1pc.
Compared to the November 2019, IPP in the EU declined by 1.9pc. IPP fell by 7.5pc in energy and by 0.5pc for intermediate goods. Prices for durable consumer goods increased by 1.5pc while capital goods rose 0.9pc and 0.1pc for non-durable consumer goods. Excluding the energy sector, producer prices climbed by 0.2pc in November 2020 against the same month in 2019.
