The European Commission (EC) plans to impose a provisional anti-dumping (AD) duty on stainless steel cold-rolled flat products imported into the European Union (EU) originating in India and Indonesia, the commission informed in a statement.
The products under investigation fall under CN codes 72193100, 72193210, 72193290, 72193310, 72193390, 72193410, 72193490, 72193510, 72193590, 72199020, 72199080, 72202021, 72202029, 72202041, 72202049, 72202081, 72202089, 72209020, and 72209080.
The commission has proposed anti-dumping duty of at 13.4pc for Indian manufacturers Jindal Stainless Limited and Jindal Stainless Hisar Limited and Chromeni Steels Private Limited. While on other India’s companies the duty proposed is 34.6pc. The anti-dumping duty for Indonesian manufacturer IRNC was proposed at 19.9pc, while for Jindal Stainless Indonesia and all other Indonesia’s companies was set at 20.20pc.
The anti-dumping duties will be imposed after the full announcement in the official gazette by May end and final measures will be released by October 2021.
